PS - This can also be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for later use.

PS - you can froth milk if you wish, but it is completely optional.

I do not recommend storing or refrigerating the leftover coffee. It contains ice cubes, which can dilute the coffee. Hence, it is best when consumed immediately.
But just in case you have any leftovers and want to store them, here are some suggestions.
Remove the ice cubes from the glass and refrigerate the cold coffee drink for up to 4 days.
Take the ice cubes out, pour the drink into ice cube trays, and create coffee ice cubes. Freeze for up to 2 months.
Whenever you are ready to enjoy, put the ice cubes in a serving glass and thaw it overnight in the refrigerator. If you are in a hurry, leave it on the kitchen counter. It will melt and turn into a liquid depending on the temperature of the room. If it has been outside for a while and has cooled down to room temperature, add the ice cubes and serve right away.
As this is a handmade version of Starbucks' vanilla iced latte, I recommend utilizing the simple components listed. But if you want to add a little twist to your vanilla iced coffee, here are some of my favorite versions.
I do not recommend adding crushed nuts to this recipe as it may clog the straw, so a strict no-no :).

Can I use instant coffee? Yes, you can use instant coffee, but bear in mind that the flavor may differ somewhat from brewed coffee. Dissolve 1 teaspoon instant coffee in a cup of boiling water, then chill for half an hour.
Can I use other syrup than vanilla syrup? Absolutely, feel free to experiment with different flavors. For more ideas, check out my variations.
How can I make a hot version of this coffee? It's pretty simple, skip out ice completely and mix hot milk with brewed coffee, then add vanilla syrup, stir, and serve hot.
