So what are you waiting for? Prepare to enjoy a handmade delight that's just as tasty (if not better 😉) as the one you've been enjoying at Pizza Hut for years!

Let us understand the overall steps before we begin the recipe.

Flour - To prepare a gluten-free version, substitute a gluten-free blend for all-purpose flour.
Sugar - Substitute sugar-free for sugar, which can be replaced 1:1. If brown sugar is not available, use a blend of sugar free and molasses instead.

To prepare the copycat recipe, take all the ingredients mentioned in the recipe. However, if you want to try different cookie flavors, here are some suggestions.
Please let me know in the comments below if you tried with anything other than what is listed here. I would love to give it a try 😊.

You can either store the baked cookies or you can freeze the cookie dough and bake them later.
The first rule of thumb is to let the cookie totally cool before wrapping it in plastic wrap and storing it in an airtight container. Store at room temperature or in the fridge.
Room temperature - They stay ok for up to 3 days.
Refrigerator - They stay fresh for up to 1 week.
You can freeze both the cookie and the cookie dough.
Freezing cookie - After the cookie has completely cooled, cover it with plastic wrap and place it in a Ziplock bag or freezer-safe bag. They can stay fresh for up to two months.
Freezing cookie dough - Cover the dough with plastic wrap, then aluminum wrap, and freeze for up to three months.
Thawing cookie or cookie dough - As with any other treat, defrost it overnight in the refrigerator. Then follow the instructions from step 10 of the step-by-step recipe provided above.
Reheating a cookie - Place the thawed cookie on a cookie sheet and bake at 350F or 180C for 3 to 4 minutes to enjoy the soft and gooey texture.

This Pizza Hut cookie recipe is simple and can be prepared with readily available ingredients. Make this recipe and bring the Pizza Hut experience to your home.
As always, preheat your oven to 350F (180C) and prepare your pan by adding a layer of parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, sift all-purpose flour, and baking soda. This ensures even distribution of the leavening agent, resulting in a perfectly raised cookie.
Now, add salt and mix it fully using a whisk.
In another medium-sized bowl, combine unsalted butter and sugars (regular and brown). Beat using a hand beater until light and fluffy. Use a paddle attachment if using a stand mixer.
Add one egg and beat until it is just combined.
Now, add the vanilla extract and beat for a few seconds.
Mix in the sifted dry ingredients (from step 2 above) and gently fold it using a rubber spatula. This prevents overmixing after adding the flour. If mixed using a hand beater, there is a risk of overmixing, which results in denser cookies.
Finally, add the chocolate chips and fold them using a rubber spatula.
Freeze the dough for just 10 minutes.
Add the dough to the prepared pan and press using your fingers.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F or 180C for 20 to 22 minutes or until it is puffed from and brown on the edges.
Once ready, remove it from the oven and keep it on a wooden board. Let it cool for a while before transferring it to a wire rack. When the cookie is still warm, add a few chocolate chips on top and carefully press them into the cookie to ensure they stay there.
Remove to on a wire rack and cut it into 8 slices using a serrated knife.
Place an individual slice on a serving plate and garnish it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and some colorful sprinkles.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!Thank you for visiting DessertKatta. Please follow Dessert Katta for more dessert recipes by Sayali Bhave.
